1. Is chai healthy for you?

Most of us have the habit of starting our day with a hot cup of sugar and milk chai. We cannot think of starting our day without a hot cup of chai! And so we consume all the extra calories and caffeine catechins without realising how much harm it’s doing to us.

2. Watch what you are drinking!

One thing every weight watcher would definitely agree on is cutting down on the number of cups you drink every day. While we are not saying that chai is unhealthy, there is a reason why you should be watching the number of cups you are drinking.

3. Green tea is not healthy!

While green tea or herbal teas, in general, are filled with antioxidants and immunity-boosting flavinoids, they do nothing actually when it comes to fat burning. If there is one tea that can actually help, it is rooibos or red tea, which is gaining popularity nowadays.

4. What tea should you be drinking?

Called red tea due to the unique colour of its tea leaves, rooibos tea is known to be an effective weight loss remedy because of its multiple benefits, especially with the way it boosts metabolism in your body. It is brewed and fermented strongly before use. The tea leaves contain strong powerful antioxidants which clean your system of any present toxins and germs and also revive the system, keeping it recharges and refreshed.

5. Clears away the toxins

Red tea flushes out the toxins, which keeps problems of indigestion and bloating at bay, thereby helping you lose weight faster. There are also some other benefits of red tea which you should know about:

6. Guarantees better immunity

For a strong immune system, it is important to increase the intake of antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients. Rooibos tea, which is charged with the same ingredients helps with the same. It also contains considerably low levels of tannin, which is usually found in green and regular black tea which interferes with the absorption of important nutrients like iron and zinc.

7. Keeps a check on Type 2 diabetes

The tea contains a very powerful ingredient in it, known as, polyphenol aspalathin which actually helps fighting insulin resistance and control the symptoms of Type 2 diabetes, which is fairly common especially in India.

8. Improves heart health

Since the tea purges away bad cholesterol and toxins which can even block the arteries, the system stays clear of any health risks. Supplemented with an adequate diet, red tea can improve heart health and keep you healthier and fitter for longer. Also, since there are almost zero traces of caffeine present, it is a good replacement for coffee.

9. Helps keep the skin glowing

Basically, red tea is made of powerful ingredients which helps the body in detoxification. When the dirt and toxins, especially in this polluted weather go away, you have clear glowing skin. It also contains several helpful bacteria which reverse the ageing blues.
